DeBlois scores in USA’s blowout of Belarus

Derek DeBlois of the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders scored a goal as Team USA defeated Belarus, 6-1, in its second game of the Junior ‘A’ World Challenge hockey tournament Tuesday night at Summerside, Prince Edward Island.
The Americans, who lost in a shootout to Canada East in its first preliminary round game, finished second in its pool and will face Sweden in a tournament quarterfinal Thursday night. Mike Parks of the RoughRiders added an assist for Team USA against Belarus, and Shane Berschbach of the Indiana Ice had two goals.
Team USA is coached by RoughRiders head coach/general manager Mark Carlson and includes Riders DeBlois, Parks, Mac Bennett and Jeff Costello.
