Remember when I went to Bettendorf and did that story on Iowa LB Pat Angerer and his buddies? We went to a bowling alley (Miller Time Bowling) and he showed off his mad bowling skills? Well, he won’t be bowling for awhile. He suffered a torn ligament on his right thumb early in Saturday’s 24-21 victory over Arkansas State. He doesn’t think he’ll miss time, but this is the injury that Iowa QB Drew Tate needed surgery on in 2006.

Well that’s unfortunate, he should be able to play that way, but it will certainly make it pretty difficult to catch an errant pass. He doesn’t seem all to broken up about so it seems he’s planning on playing that way.

difficult to catch an int.
Wow was that difficult…………..When you have to break down a 30 word statement to post it that’s a problem.

Dang! I'm sorry, Chad.
Thanks for the sentiment, though I've had worse things happen to me…………………LOL. Will he play with it Marc?!?! And how is the rest of the team, still mostly injury free on D!? Iowa really is quite an anomaly, not like they are alone for sure, but they seemingly could have, should have blown ASU out but they kept ratcheting it in. There were countless balls that could have been picked, the lost fumble we missed, etc, etc………………
Very odd football team. The game was mostly not in doubt yet it was uncomfortable all the same. And I’m quite familiar with the Sun Belt and it’s “athletes”, but heck Iowa is quite athletic too. We did win, but we have a ways too go. Though I think the UM game we will eventually take & run with it. I’d just like to see a little more consistency and that goes on D as well as on O! Stanzi looked great, sans those two picks and I have NO clue what he was thinking on those.
