WHITTIER — A 14-year-old girl was taken to a hospital after she was pinned between a farm wagon and a pickup Wednesday morning, authorities said.
Jordyn Weppler, of rural Central City, was unhooking the wagon from a pickup at 3482 Whittier Rd. around 8:40 a.m. when the wagon rolled forward and pinned her, according to the Linn County Sheriff’s Office. She was freed by witnesses before emergency personnel arrived.
Weppler was taken by ambulance to Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids. Her injuries were not believed to be life-threatening, the sheriff’s office said.
An investigation is continuing.
