Posted on Oct 13, 2009 by Admin.

Patrick O’Shaughnessy, 60, of Fayette, was killed when a piece of equipment he was working on at Reilly Construction in Ossian fell on top of him Monday morning.

According to Calmar Police Chief Joe Ward, O’Shaughnessy was underneath a small bulldozer he was working on when it apparently slipped off the jacks, pinning him. His co-workers then lifted it off him with a crane.

The Ossian Ambulance and Fire Department, along with First Responders arrived shortly after a 911 call was placed at about 8:15 a.m., but O’Shaughnessy was pronounced dead at the scene, Ward said.
