Posted on Oct 16, 2009 by Spencer Willems.
An Anamosa woman was taken to a hospital after crashing with another vehicle on Highway 151.
At around 3:20 p.m., Donna M. Siebels, 77, failed to yield at a stop sign and drove into the southbound lanes of Highway 151, where she crashed her car into a pickup truck that was headed south. The driver of the truck, Mark W. Doser, 44, of North Liberty, was not injured.
Siebels was transported by Anamosa Rescue to the Jones County Regional Medical Center in Anamosa.

How many does this make at this intersection? Apparently the "look" signs did not work. When will enough be enough?!!
Hope all turns out okay for her!

drive that road every day and it is a bad crossover. IDOT should fix it at no cost to the taxpayer

How can they fix it "at no cost to the taxpayer"? IDOT employees are not volunteers, fuel for the trucks cannot be purchased with Monopoly money, and the materials to do the job don't appear out of thin air. If they did, we could apply the same no-cost magic everywhere and have unlimited resources.

One way would be to just close the road right there so there was no entrance to 151, only exit from the North. Wouldn't going a mile around to get on 151 be worth the lives it could save?

drive the road before you make an idiotic statement. all construction has road costs, but the bottom line is IDOT made the big mistake with the entance to 151, they should be resposible to fix it

Did the lady have really white hair and driving a blue car? If so, she may have been the same person on Thursday heading west on Highway 30. Where the two lanes end and goes 4-lane, when she decided she wanted in the right hand lane which has just ended the 4-lane going east. Talk about what it feels like when you will be in a head-on collision! Three of us including a semi had to take to the shoulder; she clipped the red and white sign and kept on going! I certainly feel for the driver from North Liberty.
