Iowa City apartment damaged in early morning fire

IOWA CITY – Firefighters were on the scene of an Iowa City apartment fire for about three hours Saturday morning.
It happened at 1103 Pickard St. Around 12:30AM Saturday. No one was in the apartment at the time of the fire and no one was hurt. Two people were displaced by the fire.
The fire department estimates $26,000 in damages. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
