Mick and Deanna owned and operated Cedar Valley Asphalt in Fairfax for 35 years before retiring in 2005. They currently reside in Cedar Rapids and winter in Apache Junction, AZ.

They have three children, Dennis (Tanya) Heintz, Marianne Wainwright, and Dewayne Heintz; grandchildren, Marc (Kara) Leonard, Karissa Heintz, and the late Tiffany Leonard, Audrey (Dustin) Novak, Kristi and Sarah Wainwright, Danielle and Austin Heintz, and Nikki and Preston Cannady; and great-grandchildren, Avery Leonard, Dane Novak and Devin Mericle.

They plan on celebrating the occasion with family later this Spring.

They have two children, John Cassidy and Terrence Cahill; four grandchildren, Jason, Jessica, Sam and Sarah; six greatgrandchildren, Keegan, Chloe, Whitney, Cooper, Trey, and Laila. Pete was a mason for 50 years, Kathryn worked at Sears for 30 years. They owned and opperated Van Horne Lanes for 3 years. Pete owned C & C Masonry for 10 years. They retired in 1991. They traveled in a motorhome for one year and settled in Yuma, AZ. After 14 years, they moved to Tucson.

Pete was an avid bowler and was elected to the Bowler Hall of Fame in Cedar Rapids. Kathryn sang with Sweet Adelines and sang in Carnege Hall in New York City.
