The groom’s parents are Richard and Joyce Paulsen of Lakota, IA. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Morris and Betty Kollasch, the late Mr. Joe Leonard, and Mrs. Florence Paulsen and the late Mr. Elmer Paulsen, all of Latoka.

Maria is a 2001 Kennedy High school graduate and a 2005 graduate of Central College She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in organizational leadership from St. Ambrose University, and is employed at Rockwell Collins.

Bret graduated from North Iowa High School in Buffalo Center in 2001 and from Iowa State University in 2005. He is employed at CRST.

Nicholas graduated from Mount Vernon High School in Mount Vernon in 2004. He graduated from Briar Cliff University in 2008, with a degree in computer science and a minor in business administration. He is currently employed as a data base analyst at Principal Financial Group in Des Moines.

The couple took a wedding trip to Cancun. They currently reside West Des Moines.

Matron of honor was Natalie Albers; maid of honor was Anne Rippke. Bridesmaids were Jenna Cassoli, Megan Hudak, Jill Kirkeberg, Alyssa Klossner, and Sarah Koelln.

Co-best men were Steve Hudak and Brian Hudak. Groomsmen were Jason Fiacco, Austin Howard, T.J. Johnson, Matt Krumholz, Justin Lawhorn, Erik Piorkowski, and Aaron Terrones. Ushers were Scott Albers, Colin Dietrich, Trent Flander, and Alex Ruter.

A reception was held at The University Athletic Club in Iowa City. Music was provided by Rod Pierson and His Not So Big Band with vocals by Craig Boche.

Parents of the couple are Franklin and Sandra Sauer of Independence, IA, and Mary Joyce and the late Timothy Joyce of Rayleigh, UK.

On August 29, there was a Blessing Service at St. Peters Catholic Church in Leigh-on-Sea, with a reception at The Park View Suite in Westcliff-on-Sea.

Elizabeth Anne McWilliams and Christopher Jason Edward Brown, both of Des Moines, were united in marriage on September 6, 2009, at Community Bible Church in Mt. Vernon. A reception followed at the Cedar Rapids Marriott. Betsy is the daughter of John and Mary Jane McWilliams of Mt. Vernon. Chris is the son of the late Robert and Sheryl Brown of Glidden.

The Eastern Iowa Brass Band, under the direction of Mr. Casey Thomas, provided ceremony music.

The rehearsal dinner was held at Pine Grove Farm on September 5, 2009.

Betsy is a teacher for the Des Moines Public Schools, teaching second grade and technology education at Hillis Elementary School. Chris is pursuing an associate of applied science degree in auto collision technology at Des Moines Area Community College and works for the Willis Auto Campus.

Amanda Marie Rolling and Brian James Streeper were married on May 30, 2009, at Ceres Church near Guttenberg. A family reception was held at Scheras in Elkader, followed by a reception at the Pavilion in Waukon. They honeymooned in Alas ka. Amanda is the daughter of Nicholas and LuAnn Rolling of Waterville. Brian is the son of Doug and Nancy Streeper of Solon. Amanda and Brian are both graduates of Iowa State University. Amanda is employed by Smulekoffs, and Brian at Weitz. They reside near Palo.

Chelsey is the daughter of Jeff and Terri Ilten of Cedar Rapids. Chris is the son of Terry and Becky Watts of Springfield, MO.
