Firefighters put out building sign fire

Posted on Oct 29, 2009 by Spencer Willems.

signAt around 7:15 p.m. Thursday night, firefighters arrived to the intersection of Third Avenue and Third Street to put out a fire that caught on a building sign.

Firefighters quickly doused the small fire that had sparked around the M of the Armstrong Centre sign.

Firefighter Randy Hook said that the fire only damaged the exterior of the building and that it was likely caused by a shorted circuit somewhere between the A and the M of Armstrong.
